Side by side in Reading's Thorn Walk depot are former South Midland coach 800 (ORX631), renumbered and refurbished as Thames Valley bus 158 and Bristol LS 351 (MAX123) which was new to Red & White as U.2354. Interestingly it looks like the LS may have been used on the express route to London! |

Former South Midland Bristol LS6B coach, 90 (TWL55), is seen in Newbury's Bus Station at The Wharf converted for bus work as S315. Behind lurks a South Midland MW 805 (PRX931), a sister to 800 above, for whom the same conversion fate awaits. |

Former Mansfield District Bristol LS6G coach, 200 (PNN769), was converted to a bus and allocated to Thames Valley at Newbury as 119 and was caught whizzing past the camera. |

Here a Wycombe Lodekka is overtaken by one of the Bristol LS buses transferred from Midland General in 1970. The bodywork is DP style, but all bar two of the eleven acquired were reseated as 41 seat buses before entering service. |
