The D1 Docklands Express was a prestigious route when inaugurated with these Northern Counties specially liveried Olympians. NV1 (M401RVU) was the first of a substantial batch of such vehicles for the London Go-Ahead fleets.

London Central inherited the London Spectra fleet, two of which are seen here on route 3 in Brixton. With the loss of the contract to Connex, the high profile vehicles were transferred to the parent company on Tyneside.
