The 24 hour service fleet of Leyland Titans, instigated by Atlas Bus on the N52 gave way to a smart fleet of dual door standard Olympians from Metroline, who acquired the Atlas operations. This bus zips through Victoria at 5.30am.

Metroline's AV30 (S130RLE) pulls out of the gloom of Victoria Bus Station on the 16. The vehicle sports the Alexander R style body.

Olympian V212 (L212TWM) had clearly suffered an offside bump recently. It is a Northern Counties Palatine II Olympian, seen on the W7, but was delivered new to London Suburban as their 212.

From the same batch, V214 L214TWM) is seen in 2004 on route 4 in The Aldwych. Route 4, with the 212, was an original London Suburban tender success. London Suburban was a subsidiary of Liverpool Suburban and acquisition of London Northern by Mersey based MTL mirrored the later takeover by MTL of Liverpool Suburban, thus combining the London Suburban operations with London Northern.
