One of Berresford's RP buses got a BET style front end, possibly following accident damage. Former RP45 (JPA145K) is seen in Derby Bus Station ready to cross the Peaks to Manchester, a bus journey no longer possible without changing in Matlock. In 2022 you could take the High Peak's Transpeak TP2 to Matlock and change to Trent's Skyline 199 to Manchester via the Airport. Through tickets were available. A couple of Trent' VR doubedeckers can also be seen in the Bus Station.

Smiths of Reading was another to buy six of the Reliances, including now preserved RP90. This however is RP41 (JPA141K), seen at the Rose Kiln Lane depot.

Taken at the same time was this triple Green Line shot. Obviously RP46 is in the centre on the 705 with another RP on the 704 in original livery. On the left is one of the Alexander W bodied AEC Swifts, SMA14 (JPF114K) in the short lived livery before NBC corporate colours arrived. London Country had ditched Lincoln Green in favour of the brighter shade on SMA14, it retained the pale green Green Line waist band as service buses retained the yellow. The Swifts were a strange choice for a Green Line service but were a Hobson's Choice, being foisted on the company - desperate to modernise its inherited fleet - by NBC Head Office, being originally intended for South Wales Transport. The Swift is on the the first London orbital route, the 725 from WIndsor, south of the capital to Gravesend. It was later paralled by the 726 which started at Heathrow rather than Windsor, which ultimately became the X26 and the 725 passed into history.
