In time for SHOWBUS 2012 Megabus had just taken delivery of the new Astromega TX17 models. Coach 50245 (SV12DVW) is seen arriving at the Imperial War Museum.

This rear offside shot of 50245 approaching the pay booths shows just how long these coaches are. From the initial three axle Hong Kong Olympians, through the stretched Volvo B12BTs and Elite-i through to Astomegas the company lives up to its name: Megabus.

Megabus put on an impressive display at SHOWBUS 2012 as 50245 was joined by one of the new Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B9R coaches for Megabus' new European routes, the lettering on the offside being in Dutch.

A reminder where it all began, Leyland Olympian 13614 (J166UNH) pioneered the London - Birmingham service. It is seen here in Aylesbury in June 2009 working school contracts for Z&S at Sir Henry Floyd's Grammar School on the Oxford Road.

A second view of 13614 a year later, still bearing its Stagecoach fleet number. It was originally Hong Kong Citybus 175 (EW8584). It is entering the Grange Coach Park in Aylesbury for an afternoon school run.
