A pair of Stagecoach Cambus Volvos side by side in the Volvo bus line up, neither of which are in the
customary stripes. Both are liveried for Cambridge Park & Ride services. Nearest the camera is a
Northern Counties B10BLE, adjacent an NC bodied Olympian.
|
Volvo Olympians, led by top scoring 90s decker East Lancs bodied T6OCT of 'The Delaine', but also
featuring Hedingham's new Alexander bodied example and First Orpington Bus' Royale used by Ian Allan
on an excursion to the event. The Shires NCME Olympian is just in the foreground, from Aylesbury
depot, it is used on the 280 service to Oxford.
|
Another non-standard liveried Stagecoach vehicle leads the Volvo bus line up - Stagecoach Oxford 912, a B10M
with Northern Counties bus body. The Huntingdon B10BLE alongside with Sovereign sister vehicle, won
teh prize for the best Volvo.

Optare contrasts - a relatively old K-reg MetroRider, looking very smart in Wilts & Dorset colours, is
alongside a Nottingham Solo and Eastbourne Buses Spectra.
|
More Optares, again led by a MetroRider, this time
a Mark IV S-reg example of Leon's of Finningley, followed by a new Solo for Newbury and a selection
of Excels for Reading, Harris Bus and Trent. Trent's won the prize for the best V-registered bus at the show.
|
For a fleet heavily standardised on minibuses, this selection owes a lot to the enthusiasm of Julian Peddle!
PAX466F was acquired for the Stevensons operation from Rhymney Valley District Council in the eighties
and has now re-emerged in MK Metro colours. The LH is used for driver training and rural services into
Bucks. The B45 proto-Olympian is used on school services and the Swift on city routes, with the Solo.
