Arriva Southern Counties early SLF Dart 3176 (P176LKJ) was specially painted in old Maidstone Corporation colours to commemorate the centenary of the Maidstone fleet which was taken over by Arriva. The bus is seen at the 2004 North Weald Rally. |
The only bus at the July 2004 event in Maidstone's blue livery, which superceeded the caramel and cream, was Nu-Venture's ex London Titan, T857 (A857SUL). |

Alder Valley's ever recurring vehicle shortages resulted in this Maidstone Corporation Massey bodied Leyland Titan PD2A, 17 (517RKR), lined up with native RELL 479 (EBL438K) and National 120 (KCG620L) in Reading's Thorn Walk depot. The RELL was amongst the last buses delivered to Thames Valley and was numbered directly into the Alder Valley series, the bus was originally intended to be Southdown 606. |
