Stagecoach Red & White Mercedes
This 709D Mercedes is much travelled. It originated with Stagecoach Western but arrived with Red & White by way of Cambus. Bodywork is an Alexander ALX100 design. The bus, 392 (N643VSS), is seen here in Cardiff city centre at the end of a run on the now defunct X6.

Stagecoach in South Wales Dennis Dart Marshall
This Marshall bodied Dennis Dart with Carlyle style bodywork was delivered new to Julian Peddle's Rhondda Buses as their 59 (P59VTG). The Rhondda and Caerphilly operations of the striken National Welsh were salvaged by Julian in an early collaborative venture with Tellings Golden Miller. After a few years these operations were sold on to Stagecoach, which by then had acquired the Red & White division of National Welsh, which had been rescued by Western Holdings, itself acquired by Stagecoach. In this view the Dart had been repainted in the new Stagecoach livery, but was awaiting fleet insignia. It is seen at the Cardiff Centenary Rally bearing pre-Stagecoach national renumbering fleet number 559.
