An unusual member of the predominantly doubledeck Birmingham fleet was this 1950 MCW bodied Leyland Tiger PS2, 2245 (JOJ245). Being a Leyland also made it a little unusual too. The Tiger is another Wythall resident

Birmingham 3009 (MOF9) was a more local produce. Yet another Metro-Cammell bodied bus, this is a 1953 Guy Arab IV, part of Kevin Hill's vehicle collection.

An unusual body chassis combination is this Crossley bodied Daimler CVG6, 3225 (MOF225). The bus is still owned by Birmingham's direct successor: National Express West Midlands.

From a different design era, is rear engined, front entrance Park Royal bodied Daimler Fleetline 3880 (NOV880G). Something of a Birmingham standard in its day, it makes a sharp contrast with the contemporary London standard, also a Park Royal bodied Fleetline, the DMS some of which, converted to singledoor, joined the West Midlands fleet.
