The first of two views of typical vintage Barton, rebodied Tiger 782 (WAL782) alongside unusual dual purpose Harrington bodied AEC Reliance SC390 (390DKK) of Maidstone & District. |
SC390 and rebodied Tiger 782 were photographed together at Cobham in 2002. The third vehicle is an Hispano bodied DAF SB220 originally with TIBS, Singapore! |
These four ex Barton vehicles at SHOWBUS 98, were part of the large fleet of Plaxton bodied Leyland Leopards purchased with bus grant that saw off Barton's museum pieces. There were AEC Reliances and Duple Dominant bodies involved too, but the Leyland/Plaxton combination predominated.

Seen here at SHOWBUS international 2001 in the Plaxton line up is AEC Reliance 1226 (MRR808K) with Plaxton Panorama Elite coachwork. |
Alongside was Leyland Leopard 1246 (RVO668L). |
