In the seventies Nottingham had a high profile Park & Ride service employing Duple Dominant bodied Leyland Leopard coaches in a distinctive livery and marketed as "Lilac Leopards". Maidstone acquired several of the fleet in later years and many served in Maidstone as "Lilac Leopards". This one is seen in the town as 25 (HNU125N), the same number it had in Nottingham. |

The batch of thirteen Volvo B6 buses did not last long in the Nottingham fleet and what is probably former 501 (L501CAL) is seen in Sheffield in the hands of Yorkshire Terrier, with another Alexander Dash bodied B6 bringing up the rear. Terrier gathered up unwanted B6 Volvos from various sources but most had been disposed of before it was absorbed into Stagecoach Yorkshire.
