 Nottingham's Leyland National 2 724 (C724MRC) was another vehicle displayed at Ruddington in July 2016 alongside Midland General ECW bodied MW6G 296 (DNU20C) and London Transport AEC Routemaster RML2619 (NML619E).

 Former Central Area Service Leyland National 728 (GAU728L) has established itself as a mobile shop for Nottingham Heritage Vehicles. Its initial conversion was by West Midland's Centro as a moble publicity unit after several years service as Red Rover 138. It is seen leaving SHOWBUS International 2016.

 Here the National is on display in the Donington Arena in 2018 alongside similarly liveried Scania 676 (YN05WFE) repainted to mark fifty years since Nottingham's last trolleybus in 1966.

 At SHOWBUS5O and undergoing restoration and painting Stevenage Superbus livery - which it never wore in service - this Leyland National has had an interesting previous life. One of the first Leyland Nationals, it was new to London Country as LN8 (NPD108L) in NBC leaf green but was delivered direct to Nottingham for use on the new Central Area Service. After nearly a year it was sent to Reigate who immediately swapped it with Hants & Dorset for one of their Metro-Scanias acquired with the purchase of King Alfred which joined similar vehicles bought new for the Stevenage Superbus operation. After around ten years with Hants & Dorset as their 3625, it was swapped with Alder Valley for a single door model. Its new owner made use of the centre doors and converted it into a mobile information unit in white with red and black "venetian blind" stripes and numbered it 68. When the company was split the bus stayed with the southern half and gained the green and yellow of Alder Valley South. It was sold in 1992 to Club Cantabrica Coaches of Watford and used as a mobile booking office and waiting room at Scratchwood Services on the M1 ultimately passing into preservation in 1998 having had several owners since. Fittingly it is a sister to LN15 (NPD115L) which debuted at the Brunel Bus Rally in January 1973 from which SHOWBUS grew.
