Reflecting the distinguished heritage of Coventry City Transport's smart fleet is TWM 2867 (B867DOM), seen at the 1999 Birmingham Outer Circle Run in heritage Coventry colours. Had Coventry City Transport survived into the nineties, it is quite likely it too would have purchased the locally built Metrobus, though it is likely to have had a lot more cream in its colour layout.

Appropriately in Birmingham City Centre and in service, is this Birmingham City Transport liveried Mk II Metrobus.
Another heritage vehicle, 3033 (F33XOF), this time in West Bromwich Corporation Transport colours, also seen at the 1999 Birmingham Outer Circle Run.
Alongside one of the traditionally Birmingham liveried Metrobuses, 2856 (B856AOP), is one of the new all Mercedes low floor singledeckers, 1545 (R545XOB), in Prime Line colours for the coordinated 'quality partnership' service initiatives operated with Stagecoach Midland Red using similarly bedecked Alexander-bodied Darts (both vehicles are seen at Showbus 98).
From Yardley Wood depot, 2856 was seen at MILLENNIUM SHOWBUS four years later.
