Despite being over here and over there, First's attempts to import bus concepts from across the Atlantic have not met with success. The Greyhound UK venture has shrunk away and American school buses never really caught on, despite kicking off the idea with a batch of right hand drive Bluebird AARE models imported to demonstrate the concept, the key facet of which - allocated seats checked off by the driver while boarding - was not really vehicle dependent. This bus, YS51YVH, was allocated to Halifax and is seen behind the interested crowds at SHOWBUS 2001. |
