Highbridge ECW bodied Bristol VRTSL3 27 (RFE27R) is seen on the apron to Lincoln Bus Station. The bus later became 227 in Luton & District's fleet. The council sold Lincoln City Transport to a consortium Derby City Transport (40 percent) and the company's employees and management in November 1991. Derby City already had financial backing from Luton & District. Ultimately Derby and Luton & District became part of Arriva, but before that happened the Lincoln operation was sold in 1993 to the Traction Group, which amalgamated it into their existing Road Car operation. It, in turn, became part of Stagecoach with the rest of the Traction Group in 2005. |
