One of the stars of this year's SHOWBUS is unveiled today. Under preparation is their 1948 Plaxton bodied Austin CXB, BCF802. The coach is expected to be fully restored in time for the Woburn Abbey event on September 20th. This has been Beeston's long-term restoration project and SHOWBUS will be the first time the coach has been seen in public since the late 1960s. The chassis-up restoration has been carried out by Steve Waggitt and his team from COBUS over three years to an exceptionally high standard. Beestons are saying that the Austin will be accompanied by a new surprise vehicle. The picture is courtesy David Burrows at Beeston and we are grateful for their continued support of the event and the opportunity for the SHOWBUS crowds to see such a rare specimen - only at SHOWBUS!
