Courtesy of Ed Goodridge we have a picture of Wilts & Dorset's Optare Olympus bodied Scania N230UD painted to commemorate the centenary of Hants & Dorset. In NBC rationalisation days Wilts & Dorset lost its identity being merged with Hants & Dorset, but H&D did lose its green livery in favour of W&D red albeit the shade of NBC poppy. Hants & Dorset made a come back when First merged its Southampton area operations with the Dorset area of its Southern National fleet as First Hampshire & Dorset. Wilts & Dorset re-emerged in preparation for privatisation, leaving what was left as Hampshire Bus which was acquired by Stagecoach. Now Wilts & Dorset has disappeared again under Go-Ahead ownership trading primarily as "more" and "Salisbury Reds" though 1412 (HF09FVT) was until recently in blue and lime green livery as the Purbeck Breezer.
