The new PTV state livery for buses in Victoria is slowly making its presence known. The orange version of the blue livery used on Melbourne's suburban train network is also joined by a green version for the trams. The latter so far seen on a number of Z class trams and the few new Bombardier E-class. Transdev Melbourne is committed to reliverying all the buses take on with the operations of National Bus and Melbourne Bus Link within 12 months. Progress is slow. This Volgren bodied Scania K280UB, 998 (9104AO) was an easy target, the blue and yellow Grenda style Ventura stripes easily peeling off the white base livery. Melbourne Bus Link buses are also easy to do with their white base livery and probably a quarter of the MBL fleet has been done. However the blue liveried National Bus fleet is a repaint job and only one or two CB60 EvoII bodied buses have been in evidence so far. Scania 998 is seen in Latrobe Street, crossing Swanston Street tram lines on Christmas Eve.
