Keeping with the seasonal theme, seen on Friday at the intersection of Miller and Flacon Streets in North Sydney was Busways Scania K280UB chassis and Bustech VST body new in 2014 as 2644 (2644ST) to Sydney Buses and reassigned on franchising in 2022. Interestingly it has been given a new rego: MO8566. Other buses transferred to Busways were given new fleet numbers to avoid clashes with their existing fleet. The Scania is based at Willoughby depot, and despite franchising, the tradition of Sydney depots competing for the best Christmas decorated bus continues.
