Heading for Covent Garden from the Tower gateway is DML44159 (YX10BGF), on February 26th 2011. The Arriva Wright Gemini in the background is one of several from their fleet covering Rail Replacement services from the Tower on that day.

In 2011 the RV1 ceased to be a normal First London service and once again became special. A new generation of fuel cell buses built in the UK by Wrights in Northern Ireland took to the road. The propulsion system uses Canadian company, Ballards technology, also used in the BC Transit fleet readied for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler.

These three pictures are of the third bus in the proposed fleet of eight, WSH62993, were taken at the Covent Garden stand on February 26th 2011.

Though British built, the bus is based on the Dutch VDL SB200 chassis.
