Blue Ribbon was adopting National Express' standard Australian bus livery, adapted from the Westbus base colour during 2004. This Volvo B6, 31 (MO2773), is the same age as the blue Volgren bodied example on page 1, but has Custom coachwork. |
Blue Ribbon 46 (MO5539) is entering Newcastle Bus Station. The low entry Custom bodywork dates from 1997 and sits on a Volvo B6LE chassis. The bus was new to the National Bus Company's Brisbane subsidiary, which was still owned by National Express in early August 2004. National Express sold its Australian interests and the bus interests in New South Wales passed to Singapore based Comfort Del-Gro. The Queensalnd operation went via Veolia to Transdev. The Blue Ribbon fleet was later merged under the Hunter Valley name with Comfort's later acquisition of Toronto Bus. |
This "dealer white" vehicle is believed to be a Volgren bodied Mercedes, seen here on school work in Newcastle.
