A final Hastings depot shot as the visit by the BCSV drew to a close and the not so wonderful weather started to close in again. The rich variety of the fleet is well portrayed by the mix of Scanias with Higer and Irizar bodies and the Dennings, including the former Tourist Shuttle bus through to the older stco largely from the fleets which formed the new Driver Coastal division which the company has built on and expanded successfully in recent years.

A final flash back to January 2004 when Driver operated under both Gray Line and Great Sights franchises. Typically the Great Sights was aimed at a lower section of the market. Relatively few vehicles were painted in the livery, but this 1996 MCA Marathon High Deck, 50 (1050AO) is seen in the famous Rocks area of Sydney. Driver used to have coaches based around the country for Gray Line and Great Sights. In recent years it has retained the Gray Line franchise, but subcontracted the vehicle requirements. The MCA passed on to Glenorie Coaches in Sydney with rego TV8487. It has since retired. |
