The Melbourne Grand Prix each March causes quite a bit of disruption to the transport network. The 96 light rail tram to St Kilda is curtailed at Albert Park and augmented considerably to bring spectators from the city to the event. Buses then replace the tram service and in 2012 these were provided by Melbourne Bus Link. Scania K230UB 422 (7522AO) of 2009 is seen on Canterbury Road in St Kilda.

The 112 tram terminus in Park Street is also used to marshal buses as the 112 is also replaced by diesel power. Here two L94UBs of 2005, 402 (5902AO) and 399 (5299AO) appear engaged in crew changeovers.

Moving forward to the 2013 Grand Prix, but still at Park Street, we have Scanias 412 (5912AO), 419 (7519AO) and 438 (9038AO). On the right, 438 is from the last six buses supplied new to Melbourne Bus Link in May 2012, a K280UB. The other pair are K230UBs on 2008 and 2009 respectively.
