August 1989 and a chance visit to Tempe depot revealed the then home of Sydney Bus Museum. It was not one of their open days but a kind enthusiast gave me a quick tour of the exhibits which included thus pre-war Waddington bodied Dennis Lancet II, one of only six purchased. With the intervention of the War they saw little use as spares were impossible to get. |

Just over 27 years later and the Dennis is seen in the new Museum's Leichhardt home.

In between times 492 was seen at Tempe over Christmas 2003 on an official open day. It is posed here alongside Melbourne AEC Regal III 352 with Commonwealth Engineering bodywork new in 1952.

Outside the Tempe buildings in December 2003 was 3131 a CCMC bodied Leyland Royal Tiger Worldmaster from 1959. It has since had its Royal Tiger badge reinstated.
