Seen in Dandenong depot in January 2019 is a unique bus in the fleet, 287 (7397AO). It is an Iveco Metro Hybrid, new to Grenda in 2008. It seems its green credentials were only acclaimed after it donned PTV livery, probably in 2015 when it was reliveried fro SmartBus colours. The bus was withdrawn in 2023.

A string of buses on rail replacement service at Caufield station in January 2019 replacing trains through to Dandenong. Lead vehicle is 767 (1956AO), followed by fellow Scania K230UB 773 (6373AO), new in 2008 and 2006 respectively.

Seen in the CBD on more rail replacement work three months later was 2012 Volvo B7RLE 679 (8845AO).

Mercedes O500LE 372 (7316AO) was actually on bus work when seen in March that year on the Mornington Peninsula. The body was built in Malayasia and the bus delivered to Grenda in 2008.

Back to rail replacement and Scania K230UB 831 (7541AO) is seen on Chapel Street on Prahan replacing trains on the Sandringham line in November 2020. Like the Mercedes above it was bodied at Volgren's Malaysia plant and delivered to Grenda in late 2009.
