 Two of the initial trio of Optare Solo SR midibuses allocated to Rosebud in 2016 for services 786 and 787. Seen in January the following year is 1269 (BS02HM) on 786 to St Andrews Beach from Rye, followed by 1270 (BS02HN) on the 787 from Sorrento to to Rye. The third Solo was 1268 (BS02HL). They were joined by a fourth in 2019, 1377 (BS05FR). Another three were allocated to Knoxfield in 2018.

 The 786 to St Andrew's Beach runs around five times a day and simply crosses the Mornington Peninsula, Linking Port Phillip Bay with the Bass Strait. The contrast between the beaches is stark. On the Bay side the water is calm and shallow and the beaches sandy, but on the Bass side the sea is wild and the beaches rocky. The bus leaves you a 15-20 minute walk from the actual beach but you can hear the roar of the surf from the bus stop. The beach was used to film the death of Neighbours' Sonya (Eve Morey) in the arms of her husband Toadie (Ryan Moloney) in 2016.

 The following month 1270 was seen on the 787 on Ocean Beach Road in Sorrento.
