North Coast (or NCBC) bodied are rare in southern Australia, being built in Queensland. Ventura, often with a taste for the unusual, built up quite a fleet. This 1999 Scania L94UB, 6 (2506AO), has the Buddina style of body and is seen in April 2001 on the Burwood Highway near Vermont South, before the tram line was extended that far. The bus was subsequently renumbered 831.

The Scania L94UB is seen again on layover in Box Hill Bus Station later that month.

Seven years later in August, 817 (2647AO), is pulling in to take up service from Glen Waverley Station. This was the first of the Buddina bodies delivered to Ventura in July 1998 on the earlier L113CRL chassis.

Arriving in the fleet in August 1998 was 818 (2649AO), seen in Box Hill Bus Station in April 2007. The pair was originally numbered 147 and 149, respectively, and their renumbering disrupted the chronology of the batch. Bus 148, delivered the same month as 817 became 820.

Here is 820 (2648AO), with L94UB 831 again, seen together in Oakleigh depot yard in February 2012.
