The darkness of the night disguises the fact that 2048 is in standard livery. As it climbs Wellington Parade the desto can just be made out as "White Night".

Moments later 2048 is terminated prematurely in Flinders Street and one gets a taste of what White Night is all aboout, Swanston Street is closed to tarffic as crowds throng the city centre to see a spectacular array of light displays all over the city centre, Car 2048 has stopped just short of Flinders Street Station and is about to work a 70A back to Wattle Park. Public transport operates all night long with the light displays available from sunset to sunrise, These views are from February 2017, but from 2019 the attraction is being moved to winter.

Desto failure has struck 2115 which appears to only be able to display "Yarra Trams". Paper displays in the front and side windows let prospective passengers know 2115 is headed on route 1 to South Melbourne Beach. The tram has just left Flinders Street Station, crossed the Yarra and is about to pass Hamer Hall back in November 2016.
