 Canada Day! The morning rain has just about stopped and Enviro500 8073 boards outside Nordstrom and everyone gets to enjoy a free ride.

 Taking advantage of a free ride aboard a new Enviro500MMC I returned to the city on one of the many duplicate buses feeding crowds into the CBD, but this was a New Flyer artic. The bus ground to a halt on Slater Street short of its destination along with all the other traffic westward bound. Passengers abandoned this long line of buses and completed their journey on foot. Three Enviro500 deckers stand out in the line up with 8073 in front of 8007 and 8009. Joining those on foot I walked forward to Bank Street where the road had been blocked by the police. After some minutes motor cycle escorts slalomed down Bank Street followed by outriders escorting HRH Prince Charles departing the official ceremonies on Parliament Hill.
