Unfortunately the weather in Montreal in July cannot be relied upon. As the tour bus returned at speed from the Olympic site it started to rain and raindrops at 40 mph can be quite painful. At traffic lights the driver sounded the siren to give passengers - under supervision of the guide - an opportunity to descend into the dry. A bit further on and the sun came back out, the bus stopped and the driver, equipped with a roll of paper towels dispensed them to passengers returning to the top deck so they could dry their seats. |
RMLs pass on the tour in downtown Montreal. RML2749 (JJD479D) is seen from the top deck of another Routemaster. Note that "749" is lettered "Montreal Sightseeing" while "Tour de Ville" was used on 435 whilst others carried nothing. |
