Alongside what is thought to be an ex East Midlands VR is a Routemaster numbered as RM1943, originally registered ALM943B. The bus arrived in Canada with Piccadilly Bus Tours in Ottawa in 1986 and was registered BB4 951. It moved to Halifax twenty years later. On the far left is RML2673. The trio are members of the local Gray Line franchise fleet, Ambassatours. The Keiths lettering on the VR refers to a local brewery. |

RM1943 and its fellow RML are laid up, but are used on a local "Hop-On Hop-Off" tour of Halifax, bus stops for which can be seen all over the city. However, the service only operates on days when there is a cruise ship in town. The VR sees more regular use on local excursions.

Withdrawn in 2005, RML2673 (SMK673F) arrived in Halifax seven months before photographed in July 2007. On behalf of Ambassatours a neat conversion to facilitate offside entry was carried out by Lawsons of Doncaster, including nearside platform doors, before the bus was shipped, whereas RM1943 seems untouched. |
