This former Bedford OB/Duple 566 (HOD55) in the Western National fleet is seen here Cedar Coaches livery. |
Contrasting is this vehicle of similar capacity, seen at the 2002 SHOWBUS international display. Optare Solo YJ51ZWA reminds us that it is a "buggy bus".

Despite its destination and colour, this is not a member of Barton Transport's fleet. The MCW Metrobus Mark 2 was a recent addition to Cedar Coaches of Bedford's fleet from Maidstone & District back in 2000 where it was 5201 (A201OKJ). It is seen at Millennium Showbus.

Mercedes minibuses were a rarity in the Trent fleets, Trent being one of the few NBC companies to avoid them! Mercedes Vario O814D with Plaxton Beaver 2 body, 289 (S289UAL), was an addition to Trent's Kinch fleet and had a niche on the AL1, East Midlands Airport Air-Line Shuttle, the forerunner of their high profile "Skylink" service. It is seen here in Loughborough Bus Station, later it joined Cedars painted yellow with a red skirt. |
