Mercedes minibuses were a rarity in the Trent fleets, Trent being one of the few NBC companies to avoid them! Vario O814D with Plaxton Beaver 2 body, 289 (S289UAL), was an addition to Trent's Kinch fleet and had a niche on the AL1, East Midlands Airport Air-Line Shuttle, the "Skylink" forerunner. It is seen here in Loughborough Bus Station. The bus went on to work for Bedford based Cedar Coaches. |
