Visiting Fiji in April 2000 the A K Naicker & Sons fleetname was misread as Knackers. The fleet was described unkindly as aptly named. Certainly the three buses on this page look as though they have been heavily rebuilt. Thanks to Ian Lymas, over twenty years later, some havee been identified in respect of body or chassis. BA888 is setting off for Mulomulo, from Nadi Bus Station, is a 1979 Albion Clydesdale ECD23B (chassis No. 88625B) with a Shreedhar Motors. Shreedhar used to be the Seddon dealer in Fiji and Naicker was the last operator of the Seddon Pennine IV in Fiji, though most had been re-engined with Leylands.

This member of the Naicker fleet is passing opposite Fiji Airport on route to Nadi town, about a twenty minute ride.

Albion Viking VK41L (chassis No. 53020J) DG767 has an unknown body but is believed to have been originally Shreedhar, but substantially altered. It was new to Pacific Transport in 1965 and had been with Naickers since the early nineties, it comes complete with American style roof lights.

This view of heavily loaded DG767 is at Nadi in September 2012. The company went out of business the following year and their routes were taken over by by two much better run operations, Classic Bus and Westbus, the latter owned by a guy who had worked for Westbus in Australia.
