Picking its way through Montmatre is East Lancs Cabryolet bodied Volvo B10M Citybus open topper 05 (831MJR75) in Auguust 2006. Whilst L'Open Tour's buses are a vivid green, rather than the usual City Sightseeing red, the operation was franchised. City Sightseeing logos are on the bus front near the doors. Gray Line logos were also worn above the driver cab. Later City Sightseeing switched their franchise to the red liveried Les Cars Rouges rival operation in the capital city now operated by Big Bus. |
When the L'Open Tour operation expanded, rather than acquiring more East Lancs Volvos a batch of Neoplan Centroliners - three axle versions are also found in large numbers in Hong Kong - were chosen. Centroliner 23 (608NPY75) is seen at the Louvre. Not visible is its all over advert, which is not continued around the front of the bus to keep its distinctive lime livery in the customers' eye and a contrast with that of rivals Les Cars Rouges.
