Mount Cook Coachlines in Christchurch and Australia's Denning came to an agreement to build Dennings in Christchurch. Bayline ended up acquiring no less than a dozen of the seventy odd built in New Zealand, though none were acquired new. This 1988 Mark 3 TCR40, 595 (UO2984) has an MCD badge on the front Mt Cook Denning.
An earlier Mark 2, 551 (AWG435), of 1986 was being cleaned in the service bay in the yard.
A clearer view of MCD 595.
Two more coaches relegated to school duties. Nearer the camera is Volvo B58 100 (WC9173) new to Newmans in Auckland in 1997 as 785 (KL2458). At some point it was rebodied by Kiwi. Alongside is 122 ((DSE41), also with a Kiwi body on a 2007 Hino FD chassis.
An impressive front line coach was Scania K112TR 518 (XA6518) with CWI Tourliner body new to Tui.
