Back to 1992 for this view of an NZRRS 1989 CWI Tourliner II bodied Volvo B10M, believed to then be operated by Bayline as 1018 (1018IC) and thought to be seen at Auckland Airport on InterCity work, with what looks like a contemporary MAN coach.

Another view from 1992 in Auckland with another CWI bodied Scania albeit in Bayline livery, but branded for InterCity. A second Bayline coach is behind whilst a similar machine lettered for Sightseeing Tours - probably not a Bayline vehicle - is alongside.

Dating back to 1980, this Hawke bodied Bedford RVL, 44 (JY6507), like the bodies built on Bristol RE chassis, has ECW frames, giving it the appearance of a Bristol LH. The Bedford was new to Tauranga-Mount Maunganui Buses, which morphed into Bayline. The RVL chassis is something of a mystery, one theory is that it was Bedford's SB made under licence in India another suggests they were reconstituted from SB write-offs by the dealer/importer Ray Vincent Ltd (hence RVL). |
