First caused a surprise when it placed its first big order for new coaches after taking charge of Greyhound operation with the rival Canadian Prevost X3-45 model and not with long time supplier, MCI. The new coaches also introduced a new retro look for Greyhound, echoing the art deco style seen at the Jackson Half Way Station. Prevost 86020 was the first of the new breed encountered, appropriately enough in Canada, seen in Ottawa Greyhound Terminal in August 2009. |
Most of the initial fleet of 140 Prevost X3-45 were concentrated in the North East of the United States and several are found in and out of New York with the earlier fleet of 33 for the Bolt Bus operation. This example is leaving the Port Authority Terminal in New York whilst NJ Transit MCI coaches do likewise from the upper level. |
