Colour images from the early SHOWBUS rallies at Hillingdon are quite rare so we are pleased to have this picture of this 1950 Strachan bodied Dennis Lancet, 178 (HOU904), which is still in preservation.

This black and white snap is probably from the same year at Hillingdon.

Here 178 is seen at Datchet on the morning road run to Windsor, which used to be a regular feature of SHOWBUS at Hillingdon.

 There nearly was no SHOWBUS in 2020 thanks to the Covid pandemic, however SHOWBUSflyby saved the day with around seventy buses running every couple of minutes along the A40, with a diversion via Thame and 178 made its second SHOWBUS visit, seen alongside the picturesque Thame Town Hall, headed for Beaconsfield.
