Seen at North Weald, RM938 was set for its trip to the Czech Republic to take part in the international centenial transport celebrations in Usti nad Labem in 1999. When it left London service in 1987 RM938 joined the fleet of Magicbus in Glasgow as 105, passing into preservation in 1989 before becoming 31 with Mainline in 1996, but it had been renumbered 100 for the Czech Centenary expedition.

Mainline 31 rests incongrously besides a former GS - in what could be Wimpey livery. The pair are at Binders Yard near Wycombe. RM938 was in the company of a handful of other recently retired Routemasters from Reading Mainline on the former Classic Coaches premises. The picture was taken before its intended Czech trip.

Former RM2089 (ALM89B), Mainline 43, soldiering on in the final days of the then diminishing Reading Mainline fleet. It had been acquired from Blackpool Transport, where it had been 533.

Mainlne 42 (ALM71B) in service at Reading Station on route D, it is former London RM2071. This bus was another acquired from Blackpool Transport - former 531 - and after Reading service became one of Ken Livingstone's expensive follies being re-engineered for further London service Stagecoach London.
