As First continued to retrench in various parts of the country in December 2017 Reading Buses stepped in to take over the Green Line routes linking Bracknell, Legoland, Windsor, Slough and London. Initially they borrowed some tri-axle Scania K270UB dual purpose buses from Stagecoach Fife before redeploying some of their Alexander Dennis Enviro400 doubledeckers like 1208 re-registered as "GO11LDN" seen in Slough in May 2018.

Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMC 757 (YX64VRT) was honoured to receive a special livery to commemorate the wedding of Prince Harry to Megan Markel and was dubbed the Regal Express. It is seen arriving in Slough from Windsor on the day of the wedding, being followed by a First Hampshire & Dorset East Lancs bodied Dennis Trident, 32763 (WJ55CSF), one of several deckers on loan to Slough depot to convey crowds travelling between Slough Station and Windsor as the First Great Western single track shuttle train could not cope with the demand that day. Ironically most of First's old Green Line deckers ended up deployed on the Jurassic Coast services of First Hampshire & Dorset.
