In 1983 the Thames Valley tradition of coach seated doubledeckers on the London services was kept alive with ECW coach seated Leyland Olympians replacing Bristol VR buses. Olympian 1503 (YPJ503Y) was displayed at what is thought to be a Southsea Rally when new sandwiched appropriately between a Thames Valley Lodekka and an Aldershot & District Loline. |

Quite what 1504 (YPJ504Y) was doing hanging out with these Leyland Nationals and Bristol VR buses is unknown. It is thought to be in Luton with a freshly painted privatised Luton & District VR alongside on a rather wet day back in the eighties. |
