From the top deck of open top RT3420 (LYR839) in Slough High Street VR 514 (XMO541H) is seen on the cross town service 69. It took many years before cross town services were started in Slough, London Transport and Thames Valley clearly had difficulty making agreement. Eventually the 69 (Maidenhead - Langley) was started with Bristol Lodekka FLFs and the 409 (Cippenham - Langley) with AEC RML Routemasters. |
