Roaring past Newcastle Railway Station is this Northern Counties bodied Volvo B10M. Stagecoach
has a large fleet of B10M buses, more commonly with Alexander PS style bodywork as illustrated
below. These were unusual choices for urban bus work with their relatively high step entrances.

Interestingly prior to Stagecoach acquisition, Busways had purchased a number of Alexander PS style
singledeckers, albeit on Scania N113CRB chassis.

The 'S' in the body designation stands for Singapore. The earlier flat fronted P type body was adapted
for Singapore with curved screens and subsequently became the standard Alexander product for the UK
market too.
