This new Scania L113/Plaxton Prestige bus was seen at the back of the Bull Ring in Birmingham.
From the same batch this Scania bears route branding for the 115/116 services between Tamworth and Birmingham.
The Plaxton bodied Scanias obviously were crew favourites: 1420 (R420TJW) was brought to SHOWBUS in 2002 and is seen receiving attention from show visitors.
Stevensons found Leyland Swifts good affordable workhorses and 1144 (J162REH) was one such Wadham Stringer vehicle purchased new in 1991. It is seen here nearly 10 years later in central Manchester in full Arriva livery.
Wadham Stringer bodied a number of Swifts, far less common were the pair of 1992 Stevenson Swifts with Wright Handybus bodywork, more commonly found on Dennis Darts - 1131 (J31SFA) is also seen in Manchester, somewhat dwarfed by the First Manchester Atlantean behind.
