Arriva's supposed 2002 Bus of the Future. It is seen at Covent Garden on the occasion of the donation of an ex Grey Green Volvo Citybus to the Museum to represent the early days of London deregulation. The Volvo B7L/Wright had some experimental internal features and a unique external style. It entered service with Arriva Midlands but subsequently spent some time with The Shires.

Of course the Bus of the Future was on show at SHOWBUS in 2002. The bus, LF02PVA, had by then acquired fleet number 2202.

Freshly delivered to Arrriva Midlands as 3636 (YJ57JYN) was this Plaxton Centro bodied VDL SB200 alongside a similar SB120 machine of TM Travel, YJ07JWU, at SHOWBUS 2007. Both buses, along with Red Rose's Bustler bodied Volvo B9M, were part of the Plaxton display at the event to commemorate the manufacturer's centenary.
