Oxford received a diverted batch of four Enviro400 buses intended for Southern Vectis, the Go-Ahead subsidiary on the Isle of Wight in 2014. The urgent need arose as the company took on a rail contract for Chiltern Railways linking Bicester to Oxford prior to the resurrected rail line's completion. The buses operated in Southern Vectis livery using their Isle of Wight fleetnumber, 1581-1584. With the rail line completed the contract ended and it was later decided to acquire the buses and they were assigned local numbers 251-254. This is 253 (HW63FHE), seen on Park & Ride duties in July 2016. Its livery has been adapted accordingly, however the four were completely repanted and despatched to Thames Travel.

Former Midland Red 5276 (5276HA) of 1963 was tranferred to Oxford South Midland in NBC days for Park & Ride duties as their 920 and given a "Starsky & Hutch" livery in the days before Stagecoach appeared on the scene. It is seen with Duple Dominant bodied Leyland Leopard 14 (YFC14R) in Gloucester Green with an Heyfordian coach in the background.

Before the two halves of Oxford South Midland were split as part of the privatisation of the National Bus Company a number of MCW bodied Daimler Fleetline DMS was acquired for the city, retaining their dual doors which were already common place across the fleet. Most were used on the city's Park & Ride services if not immediately then later on in this very non-NBC livery. This is 994 (JGU275K), formerly DMS1275. It spent five years with its new owner.

A DMS display was a key fezture of SHOWBUS 80 in the newly opened Thorpe Park. Nearest the camera we have Hedingham's L97 (MLK415L) former Park Royal bodied DMS415. Next is a mobile exhibition unit for Ciba-Geigy Agricultural MCW bodied DMS1307 (MLH307L). Two Oxford DMS follow 998 (MLH371L), the second which was later painted in Park & Ride livery like the one alongside. Interestingly 998 saw further service as Southend 305 and, later renubered 301. The next all London DMS is actually owned by Ensignbus. Other examples in the line up include buses from Charlton-on-Otmoor Services, Stevensons of Uttoxeter, Derby, London Country and Windsorian..
