This ECW coach bodied Leyland Olympian, 82 (D82UTF) was originally purchased for use on London commuter services, but is seen when relegated to Reading town service work.

Reading was one of the few operators outside London to purchase the Leyland Titan TN15 model new. Bus 79 (RMO79Y) was originally coach seated for use on London services.

Titan 68 (YJB68T) was a dual door bus originally and has Manchester style destination blinds. It is seen here at the depot in a special livery for Thames Valley Business Park.

Titan, Olympian and Metrobus purchases (except for the London service Olympians) were typically dual door. In 1999 it was decided to instigate a programme of conversion to single door in the most unusual fashion, whereby the entire doorway is panelled over. This can be seen in the nearside rear view of one of the Olympians, thought to be 14 (E914DRD), fitted with ECW style bodywork by Optare in its early days as a manufacturer.
