Returning to Aylesbury, probably on a 2 from Buckingham 127 is passing the Horse & Jockey, which used to be on the edge of the town, but development now stretches into the fields behind. The Renown appears to have done some tree pruning on this trip!

This time 127 has been pressed into service on the frontline "Linkline" 9 town service linking the Bicester Road and new Haydon Hill development to the north of the town across to the new Walton Court development and Stoke Mandeville Hospital. For the first two weeksof the service newly acquired Nottingham Leyland Nationals offered a free service and were prominently plastered with posters promoting the route. A remnant of one of those posters is in the windscreen as the termini are not on the blind of 127. The bus is being one man operated by Traffic Manager Chris Day taking fares through the small window normally reserved for communication between conductor and driver.
