Metrobus 174 (HCF174W) is seen on display at Thorpe Park for Showbus 80. The Metrobus purchases followed happily from the Metro-Scanias and again reflected the interesting nature of Reading's fleet. Whilst Metrobuses were more 'main stream' they were not a widespread purchase amongst then municipal fleets, who typically preferred Leyland's Olympian.
